There are so many great moments on this album. Frank has undoubtedly created a beautiful collection of songs here, songs which are introspective, songs which are so pleasing to the ear, songs which have great lyricism. This stuff was a little hard for me to take in, at the beginning, but I've been listening to the album non-stop for the last week or so, and it has really grown on me. Blond starts with an auto-tuned Frank voice singing "These bitches want Nikes" and contains the track "Be Yourself" (which is one of Frank's friend's mother talking on the phone about how drugs make a person sluggish, lazy, stupid and unconcerned). And Channel Orange was much more accessible than Blond. ![]() ![]() It took me about 3-4 listens through Channel Orange before I realized that I actually liked it.
